First new species of damselfly discovered in Australia in a Decade

It is the first new species of damselfly to be discovered in almost a decade, and only the second in the genus Oristicta.  The new species was discovered during an Queensland Museum ‘Bush Blitz’ expedition in far north Queensland.  There are 325 species of dragonflies and damselflies in Australia.
